The Nagra IV-STC is a high quality stereo field recorder released in 1984. It records to 1/4” tape. At 15ips it adds a nice saturation to source material. Although it was purchased to run stereo (sub)mixes through at mixdown, in this case we’ve decided to go old school and record a series of solo baritone ukulele tracks directly to tape. 5 inch reels only give about 8 minutes per reel, so time is of the essence!
